Audio transcription

Some publishers send us audio files which we transcribe into Word files to be typeset by us or sent back to the client for further development.

Audio and Video ripping

We work with a number of STM publishers to edit both video and audio files, which are then embedded in ebooks and other multimedia.

Vectorisation

We do batch image processing for picture agencies and illustrated publishers where we vectorise hard-copy images. We use Adobe Illustrator to create EPS files with each illustration digitally re-drawn and checked individually. We process on average 1,000 illustrations per month and have saved time and money for our clients through economies of scale.

Key Point generation

This is a highly specialised service for STM publishers where we employ PhD level researchers to generate summarised content for academic monographs and journal papers. This adds a new level to our indexing service.

Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

We know OCR formatting is quite common, but few businesses do it at our scale or quality. We’ve cultivated a partnership with museums to digitise their back catalogue – they provide scans of hard copies, which scan with OCR software and then proofread twice to ensure quality control, then typeset digital versions of the books using Adobe InDesign.
